Getting Asia-Pacific data right.
Multilingual listings normalised
Product titles mix English, Hindi, Malay, Bahasa Indonesia and Chinese characters, often in one line. We keep the original text and add normalised attributes such as brand, pack size and unit.
Currency scale handled
A rupiah price can carry six digits where the same item in Singapore dollars carries two. We store amounts as published and supply converted values so cross-market comparisons are not distorted.
Super-app and mobile coverage
Commerce in Malaysia and Indonesia runs heavily through mobile apps with location-dependent prices and vouchers. We collect by city or delivery zone and record the promotion alongside the price.
Five privacy regimes, checked separately
Singapore, India, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia each have their own data protection law. Every source is reviewed against the one that applies to it.
Singapore PDPA
We exclude personal data from Singapore collections by default and capture business-level listings only. Any exception is documented against a purpose and basis before work begins.
India DPDP Act, 2023
Indian projects are scoped against the Digital Personal Data Protection Act and the DPDP Rules notified in November 2025. We exclude personal data by default and deliver product, price and business-level data.
Malaysia PDPA 2010
Malaysian projects are scoped against the PDPA and its 2024 amendments. Datasets are designed around products, prices and businesses rather than individuals.
Indonesia PDP Law 27/2022
The PDP Law has applied in full since October 2024. We review Indonesian sources against it and remove or mask personal fields before delivery.
Australia Privacy Act 1988
We check Australian projects against the Australian Privacy Principles and the recent amendments to the Act. Collection is limited to publicly available commercial information.
Can one project cover all five Asia-Pacific markets?
Yes. We deliver a shared schema with a country field, local-currency prices and optional conversion to a single currency. Language fields are kept in their original form alongside any normalised attributes.
How do you deal with vouchers and in-app promotions?
We record the listed price, any visible discount and the promotion text as separate fields. That lets you distinguish a genuine price change from a temporary voucher.
Do you collect data from mobile apps in Indonesia and Malaysia?
Where app-only data is publicly visible, we can collect it by city or delivery zone. Feasibility is confirmed during scoping, and we review each app's terms before collection.
How quickly can we see a sample?
A free sample is normally ready within 24–48 hours of agreeing the sources and fields. It is built on the same pipeline as the full project, so the format you review is the format you receive.
