About us
Market intelligence

Measure on-shelf availability where shoppers buy.

An out-of-stock product earns nothing, and online shoppers switch brands quickly. We record availability for your SKUs and competitors at retailer and location level, turning snapshots into stock-out frequency and duration you can take to supply and account teams.

How it works

Four steps from sources to signal.

STEP 01

Define locations and SKUs

We agree the SKUs, retailers and delivery locations to monitor, since online availability often varies by store, postcode or fulfilment centre.

STEP 02

Capture availability states

Collectors record in stock, low stock, out of stock or not listed for each SKU and location, along with delivery options and dates.

STEP 03

Build stock-out episodes

Repeated snapshots are stitched into episodes with a start time, end time and duration, rather than a single daily flag.

STEP 04

Report and alert

Availability rates, stock-out episodes and competitor availability during your gaps are reported per retailer, with alerts for priority SKUs.

FAQ

Questions about availability and stock-out tracking

Can’t find your answer? Ask an engineer

Can you track availability by store or postcode?

Yes. Where retailers show availability by store or delivery location, we set the location for each check and record results separately. This reveals regional supply gaps that a national view hides.

How are stock-out durations calculated?

We stitch repeated snapshots into episodes. Duration runs from the first out-of-stock observation to the first in-stock observation, so accuracy depends on check frequency, which we agree with you.

Do you see actual stock quantities?

Generally no. Retailers rarely publish quantities, but we capture signals such as low-stock messages and purchase limits where they are shown.
